Being Part of a Shared Step for Hunger Relief Across Asia

Being Part of a Shared Step for Hunger Relief Across Asia

Last month, Obor Berkat Indonesia had the valuable opportunity to serve as both host and a model country for the Asia Hunger Relief Training

Representatives from Operation Blessing teams across Southeast Asia, as well as Japan and India, gathered for this learning exchange to strengthen efforts in reaching more families in need throughout the region.

During the two-day training on March 17–18, 2026, participants visited several micro-enterprises supported by OBI in Tanah Harapan, North Jakarta. They also discussed Hunger Relief project development processes, explored leadership and discipleship approaches, and learned how partnerships with churches can strengthen community outreach.

Participants were also introduced to monitoring and reporting practices and the Help & Hope community development framework. One example shared during the training was the Garden in School project in Indonesia, which helps children and communities learn how to grow food while building early food resilience.

None of this would have been possible without your support. Because of you, Obor Berkat Indonesia could share experiences with other countries and help open the door for future Hunger Relief initiatives across Asia.

We are grateful to walk this journey together with you. Thank you for continuing to stand with us in bringing meaningful change through Hunger Relief programs.
