Tears and Love of a Mother at Nizam’s Hernia Operation

After hours of carrying the child who sometimes cried because of thirst or hunger because of the imposed fast, prior to an operation, now the mother of Nizam has released her child from her embrace to go to the operating table.

A few hours beforehand, Nizam was not let loose from the mother’s embrace. Both waited Nizam’s turn to enter the operating room. A worried heart. Fear. Not calm. Understandably, this was their first experience in dealing with an operation.

Nizam has for the last three month suffered from a Hernia. Hernia worried the mother, who could not stand to see her child always crying and unable to sleep soundly each time the pain relapses. The mother did not want and could not stand to seed her child in agony, especially if the sickness continues to adulthood. It is just that the mother comes from a lower middle class socio-economic group, without money for an operation for her child. The operation which took about an hour seemed like a wait which was not easy for the mother. She squated on the hospital’s floor, not far from the operating room while crying soundlessly. Her feelings were chaotic.

Until finally Nizam wa brought out of the operating room. The joyful news soon came to the mother: Nizam’s operation went smoothly and was successful. The Hernia has been operated on. May 3rd 2014 was the day when it was still midday and bright, finally Nizam was free from Hernia. The mother wiped her tears and greeted her child. She was ready to again accompany, carry, embrace, take care of her child, until the child become conscious from the anesthetic. Until the child is completely cured.

Thus was it. At each Hernia operation for children, for sure there will be the mothers who will be crying during the waiting process of their child’s operation. But the crying and their tears are actually only a symbol of their deep love for their child. Love of a mother who does not want their child to suffer or feel pain, who wants their child to be cured immediately from Hernia. Actually the crying and the tears forms a story about a mother’s love without end to a child for all time.
