OBI can continue to be present for families in need because of you. Thank you for caring. Through your attention, OBI was able to take part in World Humanitarian Day, reminding us of all that no one should be left behind in times of crisis.
On Friday, August 22, 2025, the commemoration of World Humanitarian Day 2025 was held at POS BLOC, Central Jakarta, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The event was attended by various humanitarian organizations in Indonesia and served as a moment to remind us of all the importance of protecting vulnerable groups and building stronger communities in the face of disasters.
The event was officially opened by the Country Director of UNOCHA in Indonesia, who emphasized that disaster response cannot be carried out alone. Cooperation is needed between government, civil society organizations, humanitarian agencies, and local communities to ensure that no one, especially vulnerable groups, is left behind during crises.
This event became a call for everyone to care more deeply, to appreciate the role of women in humanitarian action, to strengthen collaboration with one another, and to encourage community participation through accessible humanitarian activities.
OBI’s participation in this event was channeled through a Humanitarian Photo Exhibition, bringing stories of past humanitarian actions. The photos displayed were simple yet powerful portrayals of tangible aid—ranging from providing clean water in remote villages to offering free healthcare services during the pandemic. And all of these photos could proudly be shared thanks to your compassion for OBI.
Let us continue to join hands in every humanitarian action together with OBI. With God’s enabling love and your care, we can be a light for those trapped in times of crisis.
