A Small Shop, A Bigger Hope for Ibu Mindowati’s Family

A Small Shop, A Bigger Hope for Mindowati’s Family

We are grateful that you continue walking alongside OBI. Every support you give has become an answered prayer for those in need, especially for Ibu Mindowati.

Mindowati (44) is a single mother with two children who are currently in 5th and 4th grade of elementary school. Her husband passed away when their youngest child was only three months old. Since then, she has become the sole provider for the family. To support her family, she runs a small grocery shop in front of her house.

After seeing her situation, OBI conducted an assessment and provided support through business capital assistance, additional inventory and equipment, as well as training in business management and financial management, including online marketing.

This support did not only increase the items she could sell, but also helped strengthen the sustainability of her business.

Today, her shop is more organized and better stocked. She now sells more gas cylinders and household items. Previously she could only sell 10 gallons of drinking water, but now she has 29 gallons available due to growing customer demand.

Her income has slowly increased.

“Praise God, this month’s income is much better. I am very grateful for this help.”

Ibu Mindowati is deeply thankful for the support you have given to her family. Now she is able to provide for her children and give them a better future.

Thank you for being part of Ibu Mindowati’s journey. Let us continue walking together to open more opportunities for families who are still struggling today.
