For years, Fino’s parents worried about their son’s condition. His hernia caused discomfort during everyday activities, but his family could not afford surgery. Through your support of Obor Berkat Indonesia (OBI), Fino was finally able to receive the medical examinations and surgery he needed.
Fino arrived at Santo Vincentius General Hospital in Singkawang with his mother and a Sunday school teacher. Our team assisted Fino and his family with the registration and paperwork.
The doctor found that Fino had a hernia in his left groin. He then underwent an ultrasound and laboratory tests.
After completing the necessary examinations, Fino underwent surgery on December 17, 2025. He received postoperative care and further medical checks before being discharged the following day. The doctor also provided instructions to support his recovery at home.
At his follow-up appointment on December 27, 2025, at Bengkayang Community Health Center, Fino’s surgical wound had healed well, with no signs of infection. Today, he can move and play comfortably again, concentrate better on his studies, and attend school with renewed enthusiasm. His parents are relieved to see him recover, and the assistance with his surgery costs has eased the family’s financial burden.
