Did you know that 99% of children in Tanah Merah have witnessed or even experienced a fire in their neighborhood? Thanks to your support, we were able to equip them through Fire Preparedness and First Aid Training held by Obor Berkat Indonesia at OBI School in Tanah Merah, North Jakarta.
This activity was also conducted in commemoration of National Children’s Day. Not only did 77 children enthusiastically take part, but 60 adults (including parents and residents) also participated until the end.
Through interactive methods and hands-on practice, participants learned how to identify causes of fire, take early response steps, use fire extinguishers, and apply proper first aid. The children were especially excited to try extinguishing a real fire.
This initiative was made possible through collaboration with the North Jakarta Fire Department and OBI medical staff, under the theme: “Children’s Preparedness: Protected Children, Stronger Indonesia.” More than just a training, this was one of our efforts to ensure that children in Tanah Merah grow up feeling safer and better prepared.
Thank you. Because of you, we can help children be more ready to face disasters and build a stronger future for Indonesia.
