Thanks to you, The OBI health social service event, which was held on November 22, 2024, at the Village Head Office in Makalelon, Kakas District, North Sulawesi, benefited 113 patients.
They came not only from the village but also from surrounding areas, traveling long distances to seek medical care. Some of them had to walk because they didn’t have a vehicle, while others hitchhiked their neighbors’ vehicles.

The enthusiasm was understandable, as similar health initiatives are rare in this village. Even visiting the nearest clinic (Puskesmas) is uncommon, as it is far away and operates only once a month. This was why Chrisella, a 9-year-old girl, and her father seized the opportunity to seek treatment for her toothache and stomach pain.
Chrisella and her father had to travel 25 minutes from their home in Rinondor, a remote village in Kakas, to the location. It was her first time receiving treatment for her conditions, as the distance to the clinic or hospital had always been a challenge. So when she was sick, she only received basic treatment at home.

Chrisella’s father expressed his deep gratitude. After receiving a medical check-up and medication from the doctors, his daughter’s toothache and stomach pain were completely healed.
“Thank you, OBI. I hope more people can receive the same help we did,” he said, hoping for similar events in the future to provide easier access to healthcare for the community.
Your generosity brings hope to those in need! Today is your chance to help more children and their families get access to free healthcare.
