From withdrawn to cheerful, how OBI Community Learning Center (PKBM) help Kamel?…
The presence of OBI Tanah Merah Community Learning Center (PKBM) has become a safe place for Kamelya. She also receives free education and assistance that helps her come to terms with her family situation.
The 14-year-old student, now in the 7th grade of junior high school, has harbored bitterness since her parents separated in 2020. She became a withdrawn child. However, her life changed forever when she joined PKBM OBI two years ago.
This all happened because he received attention from the teachers and character guidance in motivational class of PKBM OBI. One day, they discussed the topic of “family and emotions” and this prompted her to share about her family situation.
She continued to receive support from the teachers, and she began to accept her family situation and love her mother. Slowly, the gloomy Kamelya transformed into a cheerful child. She even wanted to give her best through his academic abilities.
Kamelya’s mother is grateful because her daughter has become cheerful and diligent.
“As a parent, I am very grateful that Kamel is now independent. Her academic progress has also been good. Thank you, OBI teachers, for guiding Kamel all this time,” said her mother, Lena.
